Friends of Raymond is building 25 cannon for the Raymond battlefield (22 Federal, 3 Confederate cannon fought on May 12, 1863 at Raymond).  The cost of restoration of the cast-iron cannon carriages, which are surplus, century-old replicas donated by Vicksburg National Military Park is $1,000, and the cost of a cannon barrel is $2,000, for a total cost of $3,000 per cannon.

For $3,000 you can sponsor a cannon and have your name placed on the trail of the carriage, just as was often done for patrons during the Civil War.
