Madison Middle School Junior Historical Society Donates to Friends of Raymond

Thursday, May 20, 2010, members of the Junior Historical Society (JHS) of the Madison Middle School, Madison Ms, were guests at the monthly Friends of Raymond (FOR) Board Meeting where they presented FOR with a check for $497.00 plus $3.00 cash. The JHS conducts annual fund raisers to benefit preservation of historical sites. This year, the Raymond battlefield was chosen as the beneficiary of their preservation efforts.

Preceding the board meeting, Steven Page, President, Katie Callaway, Vice President, Drew Smith, Reporter, Tom Watts, American History teacher at Madison Middle School and JHS sponsor, and Mrs. Lisa Smith, parent and Madison Alderwoman-at-Large, met Parker Hills, B.
